Support the Center for Academic Programs Education Abroad Scholarship Fund

To provide short-term education abroad opportunities for low income, first generation, and underrepresented minority students

On the occasion of the Center for Academic Programs' 50th anniversary, we are inviting our alumni and friends to support our students' education abroad experiences. Since 2002, CAP has worked to develop and promote education abroad, allowing hundreds of students to gain global perspectives. The benefits of these experiences are long-lasting; students who participate in these programs become more confident in their studies and graduate at higher rates than their peers who do not. Recognizing the many barriers that may prevent students from applying for semester or full-year study abroad opportunities, CAP has designed dynamic short-term (three to four weeks) education abroad programs. Beginning with Liverpool, England, CAP now offers three programs: London, England; Cape Town, South Africa; and Prague, Czech Republic. Your generous contribution to this scholarship campaign will allow CAP students to experience life abroad and to have their lives transformed. Every dollar counts, and we would love to have your support. Thank you for changing the lives of CAP students.

Study Abroad was the most influential experience that both my wife and I had during our time at UConn. Should be possible for others as well.
